1. 没理由将同性恋者分别出来,定为社会上一独特生理族群。

多项研究发现,同性吸引并非稳定的状态。大部份在青少年期曾有同性恋倾向之人士发现,到25岁此情况消失,而不经过任何介入。[1] 同运份子虽曾征引其他研究指同性恋是天生的,但相关「研究」往往存在严重的方法学谬误,或是研究结果与同运份子所声称不符。[2]

2. 提倡治疗同性恋者有其好处,并能减低因同性恋行为或引致的疾病及其他问题所耗费公帑。(参第4项)

研究显示相关治疗好处甚多。[3]事实上,一项专门探讨此类治疗所造成伤害之研究也发现,部分受助者称治疗对他们有帮助。[4]

另有研究显示,童年时性别身份错乱往往令孩童在成长期发展出同性恋倾向,但同运份子反对治疗有相关问题的孩童,尽管治疗有助减低儿童被孤立、焦虑、抑郁等情况。[5]

3. 不应鼓励青少年拥抱同性恋生活

同性恋行为令青少年承受健康风险。尽管目前艾滋病教育充足,但无论任何年龄男性,若与同性发生性行为,仍面临多种严重健康风险,包括染性病、艾滋病、酗酒、吸毒(尤其冰毒),与抑鬰。[6]教导年青人使用避孕套,此举已证实行不通;虽然正确使用避孕套能部份程度防止几种性病,但研究显示,高危族群往往不会每次使用避孕套。吸毒,加上高危的性行为,令性病与艾滋病等在男同性恋群体中广泛传播。[7]

4. 同性恋不仅涉及多种严重健康问题与疾病,亦涉及多种心理问题、物品滥用及家暴,既对当事人有害,亦浪费社会资源。

有指同性恋是人类正常的性取向之一,而具此种倾向人士心理健康与其他人无异,但研究已推翻这种泛论。近日有四个设置较精密的研究发现,同性恋者有严重心理失调问题、物品滥用、及自杀念头,其比率明显高于其他人士。[8]已出版的研究亦显示,同性恋关系里虐偶比率也较高。[9]

同运份子将上述种种问题归咎于社会对同性恋态度负面,然而事实上,就算在包容度极高的社会如荷兰及新西兰,同性恋者有上述问题之比率依然偏高。[10]

5. 「同性婚姻」对社会架构绝对有害无益。除了无法生育之外,同性关系也较不稳定、甚至倾向滥交,有别于相对稳定、相对忠贞的男女婚姻。

「同性婚姻」倡导者称,同性恋关系即如普通婚姻,也有同样好处;但研究显示-甚至连同性恋运动份子也承认-期望男同性恋者忠于配偶是不切实际。[11]

6. 同性伴侣不应领养小孩

倡导者曾征引几项研究「证明」同性伴侣抚养孩子与亲生父母育儿无异,但相关研究后来一一被推翻,指其结论与事实不符,无一幸免。[12]其中不少个案,作者误报研究发现。其实多项文献早已说明,缺乏父或母亲任何一方,必然对孩子造成伤害;因此,若说故意令孩子失去父或母亲照顾对孩子并无害处,这种说法可算欺诈。[13]
